Rust Update - 5th June 2025
New content and improvements arrive today with the latest update, introducing fresh gameplay mechanics, quality-of-life enhancements, and balance adjustments.

New Targeting Attachment
A new internal weapon modification allows players to ping locations for their team while holding the weapon. Useful for coordinating fights, marking targets, or indicating loot. Compatible with various weapons, including the Custom SMG, Semi-Automatic Rifle, and Thompson.
New Silencers

Two craftable suppressors are now available: the Soda Can Silencer (low durability, approximately 12 AK shots) and the Oil Filter Silencer (moderate durability, around 48 shots). The standard silencer is no longer craftable, and these new versions are obtainable through loot.
Bee Catapult Bomb
A new projectile for catapults unleashes multiple bee swarms on impact, enhancing base defence and offensive strategies. Requires three bee grenades and 200 wood to craft, unlocked at Workbench Level 1.
Floor and Ceiling Wallpapers
Players can now customise bases further with new floor and ceiling decorations, including carpets, parquet, and wooden beams. Wallpapers are applicable in enclosed rooms, with rotation options for precise placement. This feature is available as DLC, with some basic styles included for free.

Spatially Aware Lighting
Dynamic lighting now adjusts based on environmental surroundings, enhancing immersion. This feature is enabled by default but can be toggled off via console settings.
Spoiled Produce Mechanic
Plant-based foods now degrade over time, spoiling after four real-time days. Items such as berries, pumpkins, and potatoes will rot if not consumed promptly.
Tea System Expansion
Advanced and pure tea variants provide buffs such as health regeneration, faster crafting, and enhanced resource gathering. Recipes have been updated accordingly.
