The festive season has officially arrived on the island. Yesterday’s Rust update brought back the full Christmas event, new limited‑time items, returning favourites, Twitch and Kick drops, and even a real‑world Rust x Can Be collaboration. Here’s everything you need to know as we head into the holiday wipe cycle.

Christmas Event Now Live
The annual Rustmas event is active across all servers. If you’re new to the event, here’s how it works:
• When you hear jingle bells, gifts spawn around every player
• Two presents appear within roughly 40 metres
• Presents come in small, medium, and large tiers
• Small gifts can be traded up into larger ones
• Loot includes resources, weapons, candy, and festive items
Seasonal items have also returned, including:
• Santa hats and reindeer antlers
• The candy cane club
• Small and large stockings that refill 5–10 times during the event
The craftable Advent Calendar is also back, allowing players to claim one reward per real‑world day from 16 December onwards.
The Christmas event ends on 1 January at 19:00 GMT.

New Festive Wallpapers (Limited Store)
Three new decorative wallpapers have been added to the Limited Item Store this month:
• Wall: Assorted Giftwrap
• Floor: Red Festive Floor Tiles
• Ceiling: Moulded Plaster (with a sparkle effect)
These are purely cosmetic building skins designed to bring some festive charm to your base.
Rustmas Store — Returning Items
A selection of classic Christmas items has returned to the Rust Item Store for the festive period:
• Deluxe Christmas Lights
• Snow Machine
• Snowman
• Festive Garlands Pack
• Christmas Door Wreath
• Santa Beard

If you missed these in previous years, they’re available again for a limited time.
Twitch & Kick Drops
Rustmas drops are live across both Twitch and Kick from 18 December to 1 January.
Simply watch any Rust streamer during the event to earn festive drops for your base and character. Four category‑wide drops are available throughout the period.
