At Last a subject close to my heart - A Fricking Naval Update! So if you're looking for exciting changes on the horizon, look no further, work on the highly anticipated Naval Update is pushing forward with full steam ahead. Developers are hard at work introducing an impressive fleet of features, including boat construction, RHIB scientists, a brand-new ship called the Trawler, and even a floating city monument. This week’s focus? Sails! With several new designs in the pipeline, your maritime adventures are about to get an upgrade. No release date just yet, but stay tuned as more details surface!
Hackweek Continues – A Wild Wave of Experiments!
The latest Hackweek is charging into its second week, and the creativity is flowing like never before! Developers are diving into a variety of fresh concepts, each bringing something new and exciting to the mix. While there’s no guarantee any of these experiments will make it into the final game, they certainly showcase some bold and ambitious ideas in development.

New Gear, New Tricks – What’s Cooking?
This round of Hackweek features an eclectic mix of tools and traps designed to shake things up. Here’s a sneak peek at some of the standout experiments but honestly with a Naval Update coming soon the SEA MINES should be included in this update as a matter of course:
Personal Safe – Need a secure stash for your loot? This concept explores a more personal way to safeguard valuables.
Flare gun – Perfect for signalling danger… or maybe just causing chaos? Either way, it’s an exciting addition to the arsenal.
Sea Mines – Water warfare could get a serious boost with these explosive hazards lurking beneath the waves.
Spike Trap Revamp – A fresh take on spike traps is in the works, promising deadlier defences for unsuspecting intruders.
Boleadoras – A primitive throwing weapon that could bring a whole new approach to slowing down foes in combat.
Volumetric God rays – Atmospheric improvements are getting some love, and these stunning new lighting effects are set to make environments even more immersive.
Why It Matters
Hackweek is all about pushing the boundaries, testing wild ideas, and bringing fresh perspectives to game development. Some of these features might evolve into game-changing mechanics, while others may simply inspire future updates. Whether it’s defensive traps, tactical weapons, or visual upgrades, this iteration of Hackweek offers a thrilling look behind the scenes at what could be on the horizon.
While none of these experiments are confirmed for release, it’s exciting to see the team embracing innovation and exploration. Imagine the possibilities—a flare gun lighting up the battlefield, sea mines making ocean combat treacherous, or volumetric god rays setting the perfect dramatic scene.

Tea System Expansion – Brewing Up Some Strategy
The tea game is changing, folks! A wave of new advanced and pure tea variants is making its way into the system, offering boosts for health, ore gathering, crafting, harvesting, and even temperature control. Recipes on the mixing table have been updated accordingly, and armour slot weighting has been fine-tuned to balance the buffs. These adjustments add a fresh layer of strategy, so whether you’re looking for a survival edge or resource efficiency, tea time just got a whole lot more tactical.

Silencer Shifts – New Ways to Stay Stealthy
If sneaky plays are your thing, you’ll want to pay attention, two new craftable silencers are joining the roster. The soda can silencer delivers ultra-low durability (around 12 AK shots), while the oil filter silencer packs a little more staying power (about 48 shots). Both function similarly to the standard silencer but come with durability trade-offs. Oh, and the regular silencer - No longer craftable, expect these new variants to mix things up when it comes to suppressor strategy.
Performance and Optimization – Smoother Sailing Ahead
Behind-the-scenes improvements are bringing serious performance gains to the table. Prefab processing has been dramatically optimized, the lighthouse prefab’s load time alone has been slashed from 96ms to 46ms! Meanwhile, asset warmup times are down from 39 seconds to just 4.5 seconds, leading to a snappier experience across the board. Foliage instancing fixes are also smoothing out underwater plants, steep terrain visuals, and cell updates. All in all, expect a noticeable boost in speed and fluidity as these tweaks take effect.
Other Updates – Small Tweaks, Big Impact
Beyond the headlining features, a slew of smaller but meaningful changes is landing:
Treasure Hunt adjustments (6-hour time limit added, improved spawn locations, reduced minimum mission point distance)
Chicken coop crafting cost increase (now requires 1 rope and 75 metal fragments)
Wooden Barricade and Honeycomb stack size reductions (Barricades now stack to 5, Honeycomb to 20)
Burlap gloves now provide a bit of bullet protection
Beehives now require sheet metal for crafting
Water pump protection upgraded to metal with increased HP
Major fixes for RTL (right-to-left) language support in input fields
Convex mesh collider warnings resolved
Storage monitor improvements for Container IO and vending machines
Customizable crosshair interaction modes
Wallpaper system updates with floor materials
These changes may not steal the spotlight, but they’re sure to refine and enhance the overall experience.
Final Thoughts
From the depths of the ocean to the heights of optimization, there’s a lot to look forward to! Whether you’re excited about sailing into uncharted waters, mixing up a powerful tea strategy, or sneaking around with new silencers, the future is shaping up to be full of fresh possibilities. Keep an eye out for more updates as development continues, and in the meantime, start plotting your next adventure!
